How do I connect a RCA male plug from my wireless camera reciever's output to a coax input on the DVR box?

This is a basic security camera, Swann brand. It gets AC from a power cord but broadcasts a video feed to a reciever. This reciever connects to a DVR that sends a signal to a computer for storage and viewing. Is there a simple connector to connect the male RCA of the recievers output to the female co-ax input of the DVR???Or is a ‘box’ of some type required? Thanks.

    Hi straatmuzikant-NL,

Walmart sells a converter that converts RCA to co-ax. Look in the electronics department near the cables and you will find it.

Yeah, you need an adapter of some sort. I would think you could use the same one they make to plug your TV to your computer. You just need a female receptacle that will accept RCA plugs, with an out to coaxial. This is a simple connector and shouldn’t require any any power unless you want to boost the signal.. What does Swann recommend?

I don’t know if you are still in Europe, but maybe check with TV shops, computer parts stores, and hardware stores. I don’t think there is any way to splice those type of cables together, but I did think about trying not long ago with a similar situation.
